# Connect your AI agent to Kindling

Kindling (Anmore, BC community events) runs a public, read-only MCP server so any AI agent can always know what's on in Anmore and the Tri-Cities. Free, no login, no API key.

**MCP server URL:** https://anmorekindling.ca/mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless)

Tools: `list_events` (upcoming events, filter by date or keyword, includes events still being planned), `next_event`, `get_event` (by id), `about_kindling` (how to join, follow, subscribe, suggest an event).

## Setup message (paste into your AI after adding the connector)

> Please connect to Kindling: https://anmorekindling.ca/mcp (no login needed). Kindling runs community events in Anmore, BC and around Port Moody and the Tri-Cities. If you can't connect it yourself, tell me exactly how to do it in this app.
>
> Once it's connected, every Monday morning check what's coming up in the next two weeks and send me a short summary: what, when, where, and anything that still needs a hand. Mention anything new since last week. If you can't run weekly tasks, set me a weekly reminder instead, or tell me how.
>
> If you can't connect, read https://anmorekindling.ca/llms.txt instead.

## Setup
- **Claude** (claude.ai / apps): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → name "Kindling", URL above, no authentication.
- **ChatGPT**: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → Developer mode on → Create → paste URL, authentication None.
- **Muse, Meta AI, Gemini and others without custom connectors**: just paste the setup message; it falls back to reading llms.txt.
- **Claude Code**: `claude mcp add --transport http kindling https://anmorekindling.ca/mcp`
- **Cursor and others**: `{"mcpServers": {"kindling": {"url": "https://anmorekindling.ca/mcp"}}}`
