Who we are, why we started, and what's coming up this fall. Plus how you can help light the first few fires.
Anmore is a beautiful place to live. It's quiet, it's green, and it's ten minutes from everything. But if you've ever wanted to just go out and see a few friendly faces without driving into the city, you know the gap.
Kindling is our go at filling it. We run low-key, low-cost nights out for Anmore neighbours: trivia at the pub, dinners around a long table, walks, a holiday get-together. Come solo or bring a friend. You don't need to know anyone. That's sort of the point.
What's coming up
Our first night is Trivia Night on Tuesday, November 10 at St. James's Well in Newport Village (19+). We're joining the pub's regular quiz as a group, so it's an easy, low-pressure way to meet people.
After that we have a few more nights in the works:
- Sunday Coffee Walk, Nov 15: an easy loop, then coffee
- Kindling Supper Club, Nov 19: a long table of 8 to 10, good food, good conversation
- Brewers Row Afternoon, Dec 5: a slow wander down Port Moody's brewery row
- Business Book Club, Dec 9
- Holiday Dinner, Dec 17
Dates and venues may still shift. The calendar on our home page always has the latest.
Help us light a few fires
Some of these nights still need things: a home to host a dinner, a quiet room, a couple of drivers, someone who knows a good walking loop. If you can help with any of it, open the calendar on the home page and tap I can help. Got your own idea for an event? There's a spot for that too.
About these notes
